Antica Vigna is born from the encounter of Frappato wine's structure, the aromatic depth of wild cherries, and a weave of bitter botanicals. An artisanal creation that does not seek to imitate existing categories, but builds its own language.
Some products are immediately recognizable because they belong to a specific category. A bitter has a specific ritual, a vermouth has another, a wine follows still different codes.
Antica Vigna, however, is born to challenge these boundaries. It is an artisanal Italian liqueur by Naturæ Spirits, built starting from a wine base and enriched with wild fruit, peels, herbs, roots, and selected botanicals.
The structure of Frappato wine
The starting point is Frappato wine, chosen for its elegant aromatic profile and its natural fruity component. The wine base gives depth and a more articulated structure compared to that of a liqueur made solely from alcohol, sugar, and infusions.
In the glass, this matrix is not erased. It remains perceptible and becomes the common thread of the drink: it supports the fruit, welcomes the botanicals, and accompanies the final persistence.
The character of wild cherries
Wild cherries from the pre-alpine valleys join the wine component. Smaller, tarter, and more aromatically concentrated than table varieties, they introduce a woody and less predictable dimension.
Their role is not simply to make the product sweet or fruity. Wild cherry brings tension, warmth, and a dark nuance that connects the wine to the herbaceous and bitter components.
A botanical weave, not an aggressive bitterness
Herbs, peels, spices, and roots add complexity and a pleasantly bitter vein. The goal, however, is not to replicate the medicinal intensity of a traditional bitter.
The botanicals primarily work on depth and persistence: they balance the fruity component, dry the finish, and make the sip more dynamic. The result is soft, but not flat; intense, but not aggressive.
Provides structure, aromatic elegance, and a recognizable wine matrix.
Brings warmth, fruity tension, and a more woody depth.
Add balance, complexity, and a slightly bitter finish.
What does Antica Vigna taste like?
On the nose, dark cherry, vinous notes, citrus peels, and warm nuances of herbs and spices emerge. On the palate, the drink is full and enveloping, with a measured sweetness and a progression that leads from the fruit to a drier, more botanical finish.
- Fruity, but not cloying.
- Soft, but not without tension.
- Botanical, without becoming excessively bitter.
- Persistent, with a warm and elegant finish.
- Versatile in service, from aperitif to after-dinner.
How to enjoy it
Antica Vigna can be served neat, with a large ice cube, lengthened with soda, or used as an ingredient in mixing. In colder months, it can be gently warmed to enhance the vinous and spicy component.
A contemporary Italian liqueur
Antica Vigna interprets the liqueur tradition without turning it into nostalgia. The vineyard, the forest, wild cherries, and botanicals become the elements of a modern recipe, designed for both home tasting and professional mixing.
It is a product with a precise signature. It does not aim to be neutral and is not built to resemble what already exists. It is precisely this identity that makes it recognizable.
